ORU Golden Eagle Basketball – KIDS IN FREE!

Posted on: August 19th, 2016 by CES

KIDS IN FREE!

All children age 13 and under, accompanied by an adult, will be allowed in to all 2016-17 ORU Athletics ticketed sports. This new policy will include season tickets, single game walk up tickets, online single game sales, and comp tickets.

Season Tickets

Adult season ticket holder’s children will be eligible for a free season ticket after confirming that the child is age 13 or under. No limit on the amount of children’s free tickets.

Adult season ticket holders who did not request a free children’s season ticket, and want to bring a child 13 and under to a single game, will need to present their season ticket for that game at the ticket office, and a children’s single game ticket will be printed for that child, upon submitting their age to the ticket office.

Single Game / Walk Up Sales

All children age 13 and under, accompanied by an adult ticket holder, will receive a free children’s ticket at the ticket office, upon purchase of an adult ticket, or upon presentation of an already purchased adult ticket. The accompanying adult will have to submit the child’s birthday to confirm that they are age 13 or under. No limit on the amount of free children’s tickets.

Single Game / Online Sales

Adult’s purchasing tickets online will be eligible to print off a free children’s ticket after confirming that they are age 13 or under online.

Comp Tickets

Adults who have received complimentary tickets that are bringing children to the game will be eligible for a free children’s ticket after presenting their complimentary ticket for that game at the ticket office. They will then receive a free children’s ticket after confirming the child’s age.

Group Sales

Groups with children age 13 and under will be given a chance to upgrade their seats from free to a discounted group rate when given the option of premium group sales elements (on court activities, announcement of group on the video board, PA announcements, high five tunnels, on court performances…etc.). Those groups will be contacted by the Director of Athletic Ticket Sales. These will not be sold through online sales or the ticket office. For more information contact ORU Athletics at (918) 495-7ORU.

*ALL KIDS – IT’S FREE! is strictly a promotion. These tickets have no value and all children 13 & under must be accompanied by a paid adult ticket holder.

Summer Conferencing 2016

Posted on: May 13th, 2016 by CES

ORU Conference & Event Services takes pride in offering the very best facilities for hosting your own camp or joining a current camp we already offer. Our 11 available buildings on campus have been renovated and updated within the last 8 years. Take a look at our commercial to view some of the available ORU campus facilities.

This summer offers some of the best camp experiences around! Our summer is filled with many different camp options including basketball camps, swimming lessons, and for the first time ever Camp Hammer at ORU, which will be hosted in the Armand Hammer Alumni-Student Center!

These camps will surely be an absolute wonderful experience for all who attend! Rochelle Barnes, director of Camp Hammer at ORU, gives a little insight into the heart behind this summer camp: “The goal of this camp is really to appeal to kids for what their interests are. For example: there are kids that are interested in arts, we’re going to have things related to that. We’ve tried to be very intentional about the kind of camps we’re offering them. We want to provide enjoyment and entertainment. And because it’s ORU, we’re not leaving the God factor out because it’s summer camp. God is still a part of it.”

So whether your child is a basketball super star or the next Van Gough we hope this summer will be one they’ll never forget. For a complete list of summer camps visit ORUCES.com/camps. For inquiries or information regarding summer camps and conferences, please call (918) 495-6409. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

ORU faculty, staff, students, off-campus clients, patrons and camp directors can now check out our plethora of possibilities and easily obtain information about hosting events in our ORUCES Catalog.

Global Learning Center

Posted on: February 23rd, 2016 by CES

This underutilized facility, one of ORU’s most valuable assets, will become a seamless hub to transmit innovation and mission through state-of-the-art technology. Classrooms will be equipped with touch technology, interactive SMART Boards, and other tools to give professors visually advanced options as they teach a wide variety of subjects.

Classes and programs will be recorded and stored on file servers to be retrieved by students on their personal mobile devices or computers and by ORU satellite campuses worldwide. The center’s open architecture can adapt to changes in technology and learning styles, and also provide a venue for donor events and conferences, Golden Eagle Broadcasting content creation, and more.

One of the most exciting features of the GLC will be the Virtual/Augmented Reality Classroom. Students will enjoy a multidimensional experience that gives them the sense of being fully immersed in the environment they are learning about…and they’ll have access to more than 7,000 learning modules, from partial to full simulations in every industry. To honor longtime ORU business professor Dr. George Gillen, we are raising $500,000 to name this room for him; this link will provide more details.

2015 ORU Camps

Posted on: June 22nd, 2015 by CES

Camps are underway this summer at Oral Roberts University! Campers have arrived on campus to participate in an array of camps including academic camps, athletic camps, youth conferences, and more.

Is your student looking for a way to stay sharp this summer and get ahead for their next year of school? Academic camps are a perfect way for kids to keep themselves from “checking out” all summer while teaching them what it takes to be successful in college! These interactive learning experiences offer sessions including college prep, math, science, engineering, the college of education, and the American Scientific Affiliation.

Athletic camps take place all summer, and include baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. During day camps, our collegiate-level coaches and athletes share their expertise with campers. Residential camps offer an extra overnight experience where campers have the opportunity to gain familiarity with the atmosphere and lifestyle of living and competing on a college campus. Additionally, swimming lessons are offered throughout the summer with skill levels ranging from beginners of all ages to experienced competitors. One more camp that kids won’t want to miss is the Aerobics Center Health & Wellness camp, where 5-12 year-olds will learn about strengthening their mind, body, and spirit through kid-friendly seminars and fun activities!

Are you a student, or do you know a student who is looking to strengthen their love and understanding of God? Christ in Youth conferences may be the perfect solution for both individuals and youth groups!

ORU welcomes The Insane Inflatable 5K, a new, dynamic fun run series made up of inflatable obstacles to Tulsa, OK on May 30 & 31, 2015!

Taking place in over 70 cities across the United States, The Insane Inflatable 5K is designed to be accessible to everybody – from competitive runners looking for a different type of challenge, to weekend warriors looking for the next great obstacle run, and even those armchair athletes looking to try something fun and new.
